What Luxury Means to Me
I used to think luxury meant something big. Something flashy or expensive. I thought it looked like a brand name or a price tag—something reserved for special occasions, something out of reach.
But that definition has softened over time. The more I slow down and learn to take life moment by moment, the more I realize that luxury isn’t about cost or exclusivity. It’s about presence. It’s about savoring the small and spectacularly mundane things that make daily life feel a little more beautiful.
Luxury, for me, is allowing myself the time to not be busy. To linger over my morning coffee instead of gulping it down while multitasking. A warm drink in a mug I love—like this cozy ceramic plant mug—turns my morning routine into something I genuinely look forward to.
Luxury is carving out an hour to soak in the tub with soft lighting, calming music, and a floral bath soak that smells like spring. It's not extravagant—it’s intentional. It’s choosing rest when the world keeps telling me to hustle.
Luxury is finding joy in the little details, like how the sun catches on a pretty sun catcher sticker in the afternoon light. Or how I can’t help but smile when I glance at my houseplants and see their goofy little magnet face charms grinning back at me.
Luxury is letting go of the pressure to be perfect, polished, or productive—and instead allowing myself to feel lighthearted and at peace.
Luxury, now, means happiness. It means joy. It means noticing the goodness of the present moment, however simple it might be.
And that’s really the heart of Terra Cotta Plant Boutique—beautiful little things that bring a bit of softness and wonder into your everyday life.
I hope your days are filled with the little luxuries that make life feel gentle and sweet.
