Welcome, Maganda Macrame!

My favorite thing about working vendor markets is meeting other small business owners. Over the summer I had the pleasure of making some wonderfully talented friends that continue to inspire me every day. 

Today I am pleased to share with you one of those vendor friends! Meet Diyessa, owner and artist of Maganda Macrame, LLC. 

I can't say when I first met Diyessa. I became familiar with her pop-up tent at a weekly farmer's market, and we became Facebook friends through the connection. 

Her macrame creations were always so beautifully displayed, and I admired the range of products she offered from lampshades to hair pins to bookmarks, and more. 

One day she stopped by my tent and bought a little air plant from me. She ended up posting a photo of the air plant in one of her handmade macrame planters. It was so cute that I had to reach out. I asked her if she would be interested in making some holders for the boutique.

She agreed and created 10 original pieces. When I received the order, I was blown away. The colors and quality of the design were just stunning. They were everything I look for in a product. Beautiful aesthetic, excellent quality, and intentional craftsmanship. 

Because the addition of Maganda Macrame was a spontaneous decision, the holders were not included in the winter arrivals list. But I needed to make sure that these special pieces were added to the winter collection. 

Each holder is sold with a Fuchsii V Gracilis air plant included. They make lovely gifts for any plant lover and look so chic and stylish wherever they are displayed. And with the variety of colors to choose from, there is one to match any decor. 

You know how passionate I am about offering small business brands, but to have a local  small business brand that I personally know in the boutique is really special to me.
